Ed Gein was somewhat of a serial killer, who brought women back to his farm, skinned them out and ate them. There were stories that he also tanned the hides, made lamp shades out of them. I don't remember if this was true or not. He spent the rest of his life in an insane assylum. It's been said that when the cops came to pick him up, he said, "hey guys, have a heart"
