I made pipes for a couple of Farmall A's years ago. Made them about 18" long and rolled a piece of expanded metal about 6" wide up 2 revolutions and shoved it in the top so it coudn't be seen. you have to put a screw through the pipe or it may blow out when it gets hot. Put a nice hinged rain cap on top. Made this all out of SS, it sure turns a pretty color after a while. The expanded metal takes the crackle out of the exaust and gives you a little back pressure, still made me deaf though!
