One thing you probably haven't tried is closing the choke a little as you let the clutch out. If it does not sputter, you are not getting fuel. Rebuild the Carb. A carb off a 460 will work fine. Just find a 2' X 2' area and dig right in. Take everything apart and pay attention where everthing goes. More than likely a small piece of trash is plugging a passage. Post back if you have a problem.
