I ran mine for 15-20 minutes, around the dooryard, checking for oil or water leaks and watching the temperature. Let it cool, retorqued the head bolts, snugged everything else up, and ran it for another hour here and there, then changed oil and filter. For the first 20 hours or so of engine time (a guesstimate) no heavy hauling, more because I didn't have any to do than from any master plan. When I finally did hitch her to a plow and run her hard enough to have to open the shutters to keep her from overheating, she pulled like a bull, considering she's only 14 horse. Unless you're planning on farming with it, just run it, you'll be fine. Do retorque the head bolts after the first time you get it up to temp and let it cool down, and change the oil and filter fairly soon to get any debris from the rebuild that might have hidden from ya. Cheap insurance.
