5-18-O is a date code. The last charcter is an "oh" not a "zero" and indicates the year. O should equal 1945 if my calculations are correct, so it's May 18th 1945. Your tractor is likely a 1945 model without looking up the serial number.

You should also get a reprinted owner's manual from this website. That will tell you what oils go where, and lots more about your tractor including how to operate it properly and do simple things like check the engine oil.
The dipstick you found is probably the hydraulic reservoir, as there is no dipstick on the engine. Is it under the gas tank? Since it's dry, it's very likely that the hydraulics won't work even if you put hydraulic fluid in, but you'll only be out 6 quarts of CaseIH Hytran or equivalent if you want to try them. The oil probably all leaked out over the years.
