Thw water jacket plate on my H sprung a leak. I welded it up to get me through the day but thought I'd fix it better at a later date. The time has come to take it off and grind it down so it dont look like someone put bubble gum on it. I took the 16 bolts out of it and also took the 4 nuts off and pryed it loose. I was hoping I could drop it straight down, but couldn't get it out far enough to get it to clear the studs that stick out that the 4 nuts go on, and also the baffles that are attached to the back of the plate. What will I need to do next to get the water jacket plate off? Does the carb. HAVE to come off.... and what about the govoner? Hopfully not the manifold....help!
