brazos, I rebuilt my clutch assist cylinder on my 966 last fall, Kit was somewhere in the $70 range. Go head and get the upper and lower boots that keeps dirt out of the moving parts. Mine needed the top insert that threads on to the clutch rod coming from the clutch peddle. It had a lot of wear on it, It should have, since it's was new, Only in 1973. That little outfit was about $85. After you get done rebuilding yours, either you readjust your clutch/TA linkages or get a good repair man to do it for you whitch ever you are more comfortable with. Doing the adjustment on linkages is smart and will insure your clutch to have the longest life possible. It is never cheap to split a bigger tractor like a 966. Hope this helps! Later, John A.
