I am working on a '54 IH Cub w/IH carb. This is the first time it has ever been disassembled. Upon getting it apart the idle tube (part # 10 in manual) was stuck in both castings and it broke off flush with the surface of the upper casting. I have the rebuild kit, a new float and the idle tube ordered. No problem there. But I need to remove the broken end of the idle tube from the casting without any damage to the casting. Does anyone have a good idea for this. I thought about putting the casting in the oven to heat it, but still i need a way to grasp the broken tube. I thought about drilling it out but i don't know what size the original hole is or how deep it is at that size. Can anyone help??
