Super C PTO removal

I got good response and info on how to remove the pto and belt pulley from my super C, thanks guys!
When I remove the pto I guess I have to drain down some of the transmission oil, right? Or could I just jack up the rear of the tractor and let the oil run to the front!
Also how about using blue silicon for a gasket?
