I just paid 3000 for a Stage II SH. Good running, WF, work clothes, fenders, PTO shield, tired tires. Have seen two of them sell at auctions nearby in the past two months for 3400 and 3800, no fenders, narrow fronts.
So the buy in price is steadily creeping up.
4000 isn't hig for that tractor. Just make sure it's what you really want. DOn't make the mistake of getting it home and then seeing something else you would rather have.
