My experience is the Zenith carb is no worse than any other in that regard. Rusty's advice below is right on. Follow it all and your carb will not leak when standing idle. ---- However as a practical matter, even though my tractors' carbs do not leak, I ALWAYS shut off the fuel at the sediment bulb when I'm done for the day. I was taught this as a kid - we did not want to waste "expensive" gas (29 cents at the time!) by it's leaking thru a carb malfunction. Now with $3+ gas it's a no brainer. Also there's a fire safety issue. All it takes is a slow carb leak and an accidental ignition source and your tractor (and barn/garage if stored indoors) are up in smoke. Spending 5 seconds to close the sediment bulb shutoff is pretty cheap insurance!
