A few more tips, You say you tuned it up? If you haven't already you should install a new set of points, condenser and spark plugs. One thing with the spark plugs do not go with what most parts books call for they are to hot. In a champion, run D15Y or copairable heat range in the brand of your choice. If you don't the tractor will sputter and backfire when you work it hard with todays crappy gas.
