jonnny, In the Letter Series if Farmalls the H,SH both never came from the factory with a LP opition. What you are looking at is a Farmer/Field conversion. Check the Serial # I will be willing to bet it ends in a X1. which means it was a Gasoline setup originally. So it on LP ....OK. This is a neat setup, Very Novel in the Norther regions of the US. A clean well done version IMO is just as classy as gas version. And I prefer LP on my older tractors. The tanks just make the tractors look tough. Nebraska Cowman, redid an old H a couple of yrs ago. It had the extra long 100 in. axles, also the single cotton front. He calls his the "Cantalope Special" for it is typcal to older tractor in Cantalpoe fields he had been around. Get ahold of him over on his web site, or do a search here on the Boards and see the pics of his. This is One Very, Very, Very, well done tractor!!! Back to the engine, Check the Serial # see when it was made , over on the LH side of the page under Research/Info. That will tell you when it came originally. But chances stand to reason that it has been overhauled 1 to 3 times in its life. doyou will not know how it is set up untill it is torn down. What to offer.... IMO, start very low you can always go up. Not Stuck No tires!!! Start at $200. Hopefully you will end up at $400 or so. Go to EBay and check the Hs and SHs there, Hs are more plentiful than fleas on a dog. Good running tractors can be gotten for + - $700 to + - $1500 in really nice un restored running condition. Hope this helps. Later, John A.

The garden was already sprouting when we hooked up the mid-mount shovel cultivators to the Pony. The seed bed was soft enough that the rear end would spin and slowly work its way to the downhill side of the gardens slight incline. From this, we learned our lesson sinc
