The engine size is stamped into the block just below the #1 (front) sparkplug, IIRC. It probably is a C263 because that's what came in the early 706s (1964). I don't think the 291 was an option until 1966 or 1967. Even if it says C263, it may have been bored out to a C291 sometime in its life. The only way to know that would be to pull the head, but that's a lot of work on a running tractor. The best oil to use is the oil you use. Any high quality engine oil, multigrade or single, is perfectly acceptable in this tractor's engine.
