Housings and transmission gears are the same,but unless you change to the row crop ring and pinion the tractor will be faster. The axles and axle housings would need switched along with top cover and pedals,some linkage parts and so on. If you refer to rear drain on transmission something probably got under bull gear. If T/A housing and T/A is good on the W-400 the transmission main shaft with pinion gear can be removed from the rear after removing differential which you would have to do anyway for ring gear change. Just listed your options,this is not a recommendation on what is best to do.
