Drag plows seam always to pull hard as do a fully mounted plow.Whe i first started farmen i bought a 450 D and a set of 311 3x14 fast hitch plows my buddy had a 450 D and he had a set of 540 4x14 semi mounts , now you would think that the 450 pullen the three bottoms would flat run over the one pullen the 4 bottoms NOT both of us plowen the same field the smae depth i could not go any faster . One day i hooked on to his semi mounts and they pulled easier , the 311's went down the road and i bought a set of 540's in corn stubbel it was 3rd gear and in sod it was 2 nd most of the time when i bought my 460 still had the same plow and it was 3 in corn ground and 2nd in sod. But i realy never liked the 460 .
