OK. Thanks to this forum I think i avoided disaster. Been around cars all my life (just rebuilt a 1964 Jaguar 6 cylinder) but didn't know anti-freeze is so bad for oil. My 826 must have leaking cylinder liners. drained the anti-freeze, put in rotella ran for hour not quite all clean. put in new rotella ran for 4 hours nice and clean. let it sit for two hours, no water. sits for a week, 1-2 ounces but the oil is good looking. that will have to be the way it is for awhile. now the trans/hydraulics I guess I was listening to the motor so hard that I didn't hear any gears noises. i don't know normal is, it shifts real good. grabs every gear, but there is a growl or two based on speed/load. can I remove one of the side covers and look for something? like slack or gear condition or something else? the right brake pads must be worn out becuase it stops too good pops and grabs real loud but stops good. don't use that one. what about the main thing to check in the hydraulics? Thanks to everyone.
