For the most part you need to change the oil every 100 hours and if done that way you change the oil and also clean the cup and thats all there is to it. But if not change as often as it should be then you need to remove the whole assembly and soak it in gas for a few hours and then blow it out real good. You can also remove the guts of the air cleaner and soak them also. The first way can or will remove the paint
