That shaft is No11 and the seal is No4 in that parts breakdown. Those old seals get hard from age and then start wearing that shaft.

I don't know what's available for parts. If you need to talk to someone with Case/IH you can call
1-800-732-0017 and ask for farm tractor parts.
They're in PA and have 4 dealerships. Two in PA and 2 in DE. They know what's available and you can have the parts drop shipped. Your local dealer can probably do this too. Hal
