I used to have bad corrosion/contact problems on my Super M until I started greasing the post with just regular chassis grease.
Theres a spray stuff they sell just for this purpose. Looks like semitransparent yellow paint when its on. To clean it use a toothbrush with a mixture of water and baking soda. The corrosion is caused by the acid in the battery. You need to remove the acid or it'll keep eating things.
