You and that mechanic both know that is BS and for darned sure it is not going to, “Wear in, before it wears out”. He probably figures it is easier to pull the wool over your eyes than it is to spilt that tractor again. :>) It shouldn't "sing" and that noise is literally screamin' at you that something is wrong. From the tractor seat, does the noise sound “forward” or does it sound like it is back under the seat? Can you change the sound by moving the steering or does the frequency change when you move the hitch/remotes? If you can change the pitch of the sound, it should lead you to which pump is putting up the noise. Possible causes are: Plugged filter, wrong gear or wrong gasket on a pump, a split o-ring or leaky gasket in any one of the hydraulic circuits. Since the tractor was just split for repair, you can just about figure where the trouble lies. :>) Allan
