farmall M looses power after running for awhile

The farmall M that I have runs well for about 15 minutes and then loses power and wants to quit. Then if you let it sit for awhile, it will run well for awhile after startup and then it wants to quit again. It is not overheating. I am just a lady with no mechanical experience. This tractor was my deceased husbands and is all I have to cut the fields with. It has been almost completely restored. Is there someone who could give me some ideas so I can try to fix it.
