Well Dave S and Old win a cookie each. It was a misadjusted throttle plate. And then I matched up carb to Gov as Old suggested. Geez, funny how smart you can get if you open the IT manual to the right page. Put the tach on there and I got the 475 and 1575 as advertised. Gordo
