Had the same problem with a C153 in a 504. Just finished rebuilding it. Had the crank turned, new rod and main bearings, sanded the pot metal oil pump cover, (had to take .014 off of it), made a strap to go between the two bolts on the high pressure side of the pump to reinforce the cover. 55psi hot and full throttle, 35psi idling.
