Are you sure you have the correct gasket as there is another size just smaller to not work. Shut gas off remove the glass bulb then look very careful at the top of the sediment bowl assy check to see that it is not sprung as people used a pliers then warped the metal so a gasket cannot seal. I get mine from NAPA screen and gasket are only a dollar each take your glass bowl along to see that you get the correct size.
