clefus, I would drain the fluid completely and put new in if it looks like it needs it. Also replace the filter while your at it, then fill it up and you should be good to go.

George is right, either the pump is sucking air, or it is being captivated (sp) due to a clogged filter. It needs to be addressed ASAP.
