Super H light Bar tool Box

I was mounting the Tool box on out Super today, and noticed that it was not made symetrical the left side is longer than the right, it is an origanl IH box not a repo. There is alittle room to almost make it center on hte steering colum but I was wondering how people mount them, and was there a reason to why they were made alittle off set???? Thanks for the Help Andrew
