I use to sell brush hog per say and for a super H in good condition just mowen pastrue a 7 footer would be no problem and go with the bigger gear box . also add the slip clutch shear bolts are a pain as the day will come when ya just have a weeee bit more to do and you will eat a shear bolt and will not have the correct bolt and since ya only have a weee bit to do this here old grade 8 will work till i can get to town and get some more shear bolts , and that my friend will be the day that ya find that old tree stump or that old hard rock that ya forgot about and pice of the gear box go flyen all over the place. Now if you do get a slip clutch always remember to back off the springs when ya put it way for the season and keep it covered the rest to help keep moisture out so it does not rust soild. Ya want a hog wide enough to get out past the tires and on a S/H always use and over running clutch on the PTO. Oh yea also make sure that it has a stump jumper . I use to sell the International Machinery line and in MHOP they were the best of the short line as they were built heavier and had a littel better product support.
