Yes it does have a transmission brake but you have to go thru setting the clutch free travel then the trans brake then the dump valve . Off the top of my head i can not remember the free travel on that tractor and i can not even get into my books as they are in my Ranger and it is setting broke down out at a buddys farm . As far as the jumping out of gear this sounds like the roller in the shift linkage has broken and this part is down under the range shifter cover not easy to get to ya have to darn near stand on your head and work thru the floor plate in the cab also having the range cover removal tool is a BIG help . even after ya get everything set correctly the gears do not stop the moment ya shove the clutch down ya have to give it a couple seconds .
