allan's right on the money. i have 3 656 hydros that we load and feed cows with. for the loader, we run them between 12-1500 rpms, and feeding 10-1200. someone loading at 17-1800 rpms gets a fast visit from me. we get just as much done at moderate rpms, and its easier on the tractor and hoses.
