Keith: The 140 IH Blue Ribbon service manual calls it same as Banjo describes. If you have the plug out of the front, steering wheel off, just start turning the shaft, steering worm will turn it right out. If the steering box is still on the tractor, I think you have to jack tractor front end a bit for shaft to clear the ground.
