It depends on the thickness of the belt. That is the sure way to get it right. I like to use some fabric belting i bought years ago that is 1/8 inch. The old size clipper #3 laces work pretty good on that thickness. Unfortunately, the local allis dealer only has lacing for thicker belts so i had to find these laces at farm sales. They probably are available somewhere, but i havent run out yet.
