300 ta system

i got a 300 farmall with ta, it belonged to my deceased uncle, the ta seems like it works on low side only, i took off cover over ta and the ta clutch pack is apart, i been using it like that for awhile, doesnt have much road speed. ok to keep using it like that? thanks for your responses.
