Why the mystery? Just look at the drop boxes on the axles. You should be able to tell the difference between a gear drive box and a roller chain box. The roller chain is the high crop.

Any M or H thru 560 parts book will have pictures of both. If you don't have any one of those parts books, pull an oil level plug and stick your finger in or shine a pen light.

More than likely it is a cotton picker because it has a single front wheel and bolster; doesn't it?
