For 784 D246 Diesel engine service manual says 9 Qts for crankcase so probably 10 Qts with filter.
15W40 Summer 5W30 Winter or if you are in a warm climate 15W40 year round. Good quality Diesel like oil Exxon XD-3 or Shell ROTELLA T. JimB
