It means Torque Amplifier

The TA stands for Torque Amplifier. If it's at $3000, that is dirt cheap for a MTA. They are a very desired tractor because there are very few around and they were only made in 1954 and not many were made. People also liked the Torque Amplifier. The Torque Amplifier almost always needs to be fixed on tractors today. My Dad has a Super MTA and They are nice old tractors.
