George, You give yourself far too little credit. Look at everything you did to the tractor, cleaning out the fuel system, tuning up the ignition, etc.. That's probably stuff the previous owners never even considered doing. They just hooked on the tractor and dragged it around hoping it would start. No voodoo here, just good old fashioned simple maintenance...
