No one indicated the type. Heavy flat washers are correct. Lock washers should be used for ballast. I have repaired more equipment with cracked missing lock washers than when it was bolted up without them. Several studies on viabratory holding power indicate that lock washers are failure points. Locktite, cotter pins on castle nuts, safety wire and jambnuts yes, lock washers go in the recycle bin. JimN
