Just like it's name suggests HyTran (Hydraulic and Transmission) is for combined hydraulic and transmission systems that are designed for the lower viscosity oil. It is also for use in any transmission that has a TA (Torque Amplifier).

Any of the letter series tractors will be much better off with 90 weight or, as I prefer to use, 85w-140.

And gear whine is normal in anything that has straight cut (spur) gears.
