Make sure you get the newer elbow and not one off of an older engine. Original elbows had a separate orfice pressed into the elbow. Later ones had the orfice drilled in a solid elbow. Check to be sure the orfice is not still in the pump. The original style could come lose and get back into the pump. When the pump is is start position the loose piece could get under the fuel control sleeve and when the engine starts the governor cannot move the sleeve down to control the engine speed so the engine revs until the valves get bent bouncing off pistons or the block gets ventilated. Either result can ruin your day.
