Hi Scott, have changed clutch on 454 twice and 495 once. These are same as 484 just older and newer models. Relativly easy to do. Require proper bottle and floor jacks and supports to split. May require flywheel to be turned. Replace clutch with HD clutch from 684 with 6 pads, throwout and release bearings. Drive wooden wedges between front axle and casting to keep front end from tipping while split. BE VERY CAREFUL AS THE SECTIONS OF THE TRACTOR ARE HEAVY AND CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY. If you search archives you can find instructions to slpit this tractor under 454 or 684. JimB
