C113 Piston Pin Bushings/Rods Fit

I am rebuilding a C113 and bought the TISCO kit from this site. The connecting rod bushings are copper have a split so are not full hoop. I made a stepped tool on the lathe to push out the old ones but am not having luck getting the new ones in. I heated the rods to 300F in the oven for 3 hours, and chilled the bushings to zeroF then tryed to pursude them in using a vise....made no progress. Any idea's ?? thanks.
