Got another question on an 1941 H. Bought new belts and put a generator on in place of an alt i had to use on a welder. Now the hood was not on the tractor when the alt was on it . With new belt the hood will still not fit. the generator does not have an adjustable pulley. What is it going to take to get my hood to fit? the new belt is 31+ inches and was ordered from napa from the book. the gen stickes too far out for the hood latch. I don't know if i can stretch a shorter belt on it.
