I just rebuilt my Cub hydraulic unit and had the same problem until I bought an internal pliers. These pliers open out when you squeeze them. I bought the pliers at an auto parts store. The main problem I had was trying to determine if all the parts were there. Someone had taken mine apart at some point and didn't assemble all the pieces. I ended up having to buy some of the missing parts from Case/IH. A manual is a must for a hydraulic unit rebuild I think. Roger
