Yeah, the whole unit may not need to be replaced, but do you really want to chance it? It's a royal pain in the petard to pull that TA, and to do it multiple times because you missed something... How much is your time worth? I say pull the unit and replace it with the newer, stronger sprag style TA, and never ever worry about it again. A little extra now for peace of mind... Ramp and rollers will run you $200, but an entire TA really isn't that much more when you take your time into account.
