Hi! I have a question that isn't tractor related, but the truck will one day pull my 1929 McCormic Deering 22-36 wheel tractor. I just completed R&R of all four motor mounts on my 1936 IHC C-15 truck with an HD232 engine w/4spd ns trans. It took a great deal of effort and even more luck... even to bending some of the mount points. My question: What is the proper procedure to get those buggers out? There is not enough room between the fire wall and the head to move the eng/trany back far enough to get them out. I could get the engine lower by removing the trans, but then the engine would be at quite a steep angle down in back to line up the front mounts. Frame mount is rivited and not removable. The front mount yoke could come off the engine, but then I can't see how one would reattatch it after assembly of the mounts. I don't know if the cross member is removable or not. I will have to remove the engine and mounts when I do a frame up restore at a later time, so any help would be appreciated. Can anyone share some thoughts on this? Thanks, OBD
