Yes it will do good, you should research before making comments like that. I use to work in the antifreeze industry, and can tell you a regualr coolant filter will prolong waterpump life, even without the additives, which by the way are mainly deisel engines. Im not saying proer maintenece isnt required either, but they will prolong the life if the waterpump, and eventually the engine.
