I thought there was only one o-ring in the Cub transmission and that is on the lower shaft in the front. I looked in my parts manual and that is all I could find. I think that o-ring is to keep the transmission from leaking past the shims. When I rebuilt mine last year I took the nut off the end of the shaft and pulled the bearing off (light press fit) by driving the shaft back with a brass hammer. I did it about 10 times while I was adjusting the bevel gears after putting my gears in a different transmission case. Roger
