Jim is right there are different shafts used. If you look at serial tag to see what letters are stamped on it you can tell which shaft it has. If your 300 had IPTO originally it will not take the H unit. If it had transmission driven it may work,but I am not sure there could be difference between rowcrop and utility. If your tag has a R on it the trans drive pto should work.
