I have respect for the other post, but I believe it is wrong in this case. The freeplay can be adjusted with linkage (manuals are a must) It needs to be about 1" of travel from foot off position, to where the pedal starts to have resistance. If the pedal is comming closer to the full up position, adjust the linkage shorter. There should be two or three adjustments done befor the disk is worn. THe engagement point is usually just toward the operator from half way in the travel. JimN
